Practice Reminders & Notifications

Set up daily reminders to keep your lyrics practice on track.

Memorizing lyrics is all about consistency. Daily practice reminders give you a gentle nudge at a time that works for you, so it's easy to keep your streak going.

How to Turn On Daily Reminders

  1. Tap the gear icon () in the top-right corner of the home screen to open Settings
  2. Tap “Notifications”
  3. Turn on “Practice reminders” - described as “A daily nudge to practice your lines”
  4. Choose when you'd like to be reminded:
    • Smart schedule - leave this on and Lines reminds you about a day after your last practice, so the nudge follows your own rhythm
    • Reminder time - turn Smart schedule off to pick an exact time of day. The default is 7:00 PM

What a Reminder Looks Like

Each reminder is a gentle daily nudge that includes the title of the song you're working on. Tap the notification and you'll jump straight into a practice session for that song - no hunting through your library to get started.

Reminders Across Your Devices

When you're signed in, reminders know the last lesson you practiced - even if that was on another device - so the nudge always points you to what you were working on most recently.

Notification Permission

For reminders to reach you, Lines needs permission to send notifications. You're asked for this during onboarding (you can tap “Allow notifications” on the reminders screen), and you can change your mind at any time.

Reminders not arriving?

If you declined notifications earlier, enable them for Lines in your device's Settings app under Notifications, then turn “Practice reminders” back on in the app.
