How to Add New Lyrics
- From the home screen, tap the blue “+” button at the bottom of the screen
- You'll be taken to the “Add Lyrics” screen
- Fill in the following fields:
- Title (required): Enter the song or text title
- Author (optional): Enter the artist or author name
- Content (required): Paste or type the full lyrics/text
- Tap “Save” in the top-right corner
- You'll automatically be taken to the chunking screen to divide your lyrics into parts
Tips
- Empty lines will be automatically removed from your lyrics
- Make sure each line of text is on a separate line for best practice results
How to View Your Lyrics
- From the home screen, you'll see all your saved lyrics displayed as cards
- Each card shows:
- Song title
- Author (if provided)
- A preview of the first line
- Tap any card to view the full song details and access practice options
- Pull down to refresh your lyrics list
How to Sort Your Lyrics
- From the home screen, tap the sort (funnel) icon in the header
- Choose how to order your library from the “Sort by” menu:
- Name - alphabetical by title
- Last Practiced - most recently practiced first
- Creation Date - newest additions first
Your sort order is remembered
Lines saves your preferred sort order, so your library always looks the way you like it the next time you open the app.
How to Edit Lyrics
Method 1: Using the menu button
- On the home screen, find the lyrics you want to edit
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the right side of the lyrics card
- Select “Edit” from the dropdown menu
- Make your changes to the title, author, or content
- Tap “Save” to confirm your changes
- You'll be taken to the chunking screen to update your parts if needed
Method 2: Using long press (context menu)
- On the home screen, press and hold on the lyrics card
- A context menu will appear
- Select “Edit”
- Make your changes and save
How to Delete Lyrics
Method 1: Using the menu button
- Find the lyrics you want to delete on the home screen
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the card
- Select “Delete” from the dropdown menu
- A confirmation dialog will appear asking “Are you sure you want to delete [title]?”
- Tap “Delete” to confirm, or “Cancel” to keep the lyrics
Method 2: Using long press (context menu)
- Press and hold on the lyrics card
- Select “Delete” from the context menu
- Confirm the deletion
